Alex Mortensen

At the repeated instigation of his wife, Alex took up art at the end of 2008. Since then, although not a prolific artist, he has had works hung in exhibitions and competitions including the Camberwell, Sydney Royal, Canberra Royal (a Highly Commended and a Second prize), and various group exhibitions. Meanwhile Alex has also taken up the study of contemporary art with Curtin University through Open University and of the 7 units that he has completed to date he has been awarded 6 High Distinctions and one Distinction. Alex particularly enjoys conceptual art and likes to play with concepts in his works.
