The charming Lieder Theatre was built in 1928 by the Lieder Theatre Company.
The Company was established in 1891 and is Australia's longest continually running theatre company.

The building was constructed on the site of the two-storey wooden Lander's Hall acquired by the Society in 1908 to use for rehearsal. .
